Sascha Schlesier becomes North German Champion in javelin throw
At the North German Championships in Berlin, the Sylt native won the title in the over 35 age group. With 49.60 m he took the undisputed 1st place.
27th Sturgeon Cup in Itzehoe
On Saturday, 4 March, 14 swimmers from TSV Westerland took the first car train to Itzehoe to take part in the local Störpokal. A total of 572 swimmers from 31 clubs (Lower Saxony, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein) competed in the 27th edition of this competition.
Three decades of sport for the heart
Nationwide, the “Stars of Sports” are awarded every year to voluntary sports clubs by the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken. Second place in Schleswig-Holstein went to TSV Westerland with its heart sports group.

The badminton division has once again made a successful detour to the mainland. At the ranking tournament in Rendsburg there were some good placings.

Badminton connects athletes from Schleswig-Holstein and Poland
Even though there were school holidays on Sylt in the week before Easter, the sports hall at the grammar school did not remain unused. 35 children and young people between the ages of eleven and 17 trained there as part of the Sylt Camp 2022, which the Schleswig-Holstein Badminton Association hosted on the island for the first time.
