Photo competition: Main prize has been handed over

Someone put a lot of effort into it: Instead of a single photo, ten-year-old Tilda, eight-year-old Tio and thirteen-week-old family dog Nox took part in this year’s TSV Westerland photo competition with a whole picture story. Mama Jasmina Ben-Slimane assured that she had provided “only a tiny amount of technical assistance”.

As in the previous year, the children’s masquerade of TSV Westerland unfortunately had to be cancelled this February due to corona. As an alternative, a photo competition was held again, which is intended to console over the cancellation: “The children’s masquerade is one of the most popular events of the year for parents and children alike,” says the chairman of the association, Hans-Wilhelm Hansen. “That’s why it’s important to us not to remove the event from the calendar without replacement.”

The jury didn’t have to think long about the fact that Tilda, Tio and Nox took first place with their exciting photo comic. It is the little puppy who persuades the children Tilda and Tio in the photo story to simply move the children’s carnival home and celebrate there. Nox is also celebrating – in a cool and dangerous disguise. We don’t want to reveal which ones – it’s best to take a look at the picture story yourself.

Meanwhile, Tilda and Tio are delighted with the cool children’s mountain bike from the “Giant” brand with 20-inch wheels, which was donated by the Sylt Cycling Centre as the main prize. Who will be the first to drive it remains her little secret.
