Lennart Guetari is a two-time national champion in swimming

27 clubs from all over Schleswig-Holstein took part in the state swimming championships in Flensburg at the beginning of April. Four swimmers from TSV Westerland had qualified for it at previous competitions.

Lennart Guetari had qualified for eight competition courses and won an incredible six medals. With two gold, three silver, one bronze medal and many new personal bests, he was the TSV’s most successful swimmer. With a time of 01:12.19 minutes, Lennart won the national championship title in the 100 meter freestyle and first place in the 50 meter butterfly (36.82 seconds) in 2011.

Leni Klukas, who, like Lennart, competed in 2011, swam four personal bests in her four races and finished 4th, 5th and 8th. In the 200 meter individual medley, Leni improved by nine seconds and finished an excellent fifth with a time of 03:06.99 minutes in the face of very strong competition.

Vasillisa Khramkov, who competed in 2012, also swam in the 50 and 100 meter breaststroke with personal bests in 4th and 5th place. Hailey-Moreen Klusch, born in 2007, rounded off the good result of the competition swimmers of TSV Westerland. Hailey-Moreen competed twice for TSV: over 50 meters backstroke and 50 meters freestyle.
