Badminton for a good cause

Sporty for the support of the Ukraine refugees: Last Saturday, for example, the badminton division of TSV Westerland organized a charity tournament in which everyone who wanted to do something good in addition to the fun of the game with the entry fee of five euros for children and ten euros for adults was allowed to participate.

A donation box was also available for the spectators, so that at the end of the tournament – the badminton division rounded up – a proud 1000 euros were collected as a donation. These will go to the aid organization „Save the Children“, which with its teams in the border areas on the Ukraine directly supplies refugee families with the most necessary goods.

These players were successful

Even though the focus was on a good cause, the commitment of the players was of course still rewarded and rewarded with medals and non-cash prizes.
